Zinc borate

Zinc borate as flame retardant

Zinc borate is used mainly in fire-retardant formulations for plastics (PVC resin, Vinyl resin and other resins compatible to DOP), rubbers, textiles, paper and paints. Zinc borate is also used as an additive in glass and ceramic products and as a catalyst in the chemical industry.

Halogens - bromine compounds, fluoric compounds, chlorine compound - are needed in combination with Zinc borate to achieve the effect as a flame ratardant additive.

Moreover, zinc borate and antimony trioxide is applied to avoid yellow coloring of car headlights.

Import and Export in wholesale trade: Zinc borate as raw chemical material

As chemical raw material zinc borate is traded pulvered or granulated. ANTRACO Chemie-Handelsgesellschaft mbH (Germany) is a quality supplier of this substance. Due to excellent contacts to producers and manufacturers, Antraco is a prime address for buying departments in the chemical industry.

Zinc borate as catalyst

The catalyst application in PET production, film production as well as the textile industry are examples of the application range of zinc borate. It is also used for staple fiber and industrial twines (filaments).
